Notes
a. Note:   mon ancestor between current the German cousins that I'm in contact with regularly. Willi Allgeier of Gamshurst, Baden; and Bernhard Allgeier of Dornstetten. Both are 7th cousins. There are a multitude of other researchers who are descendant from this same family from Gamshurst that I've come in contact with over the years of researching this family line. The Baptism witness to Johann Allgeier were: John Koch and Eva Geigers, wife of John Geigers from Grossweier. Johann Allgeier married Christina Scherer at the age of 24 and this marriage produced 9 children; 6 boys and three daughters. Johann is noted as residing in (Ober)michelbuch. Johamn is the common ancestor of most of the Allgeier families present day Gamshurst. Four of his six sons married and had children: Johann Adam (Rin 78), Joseph (Rin 79), Francis Ignatius (Rin 82), and Matthew (Rin 66); and from these marriages, the Allgeier surname spread throughout the village, and eventually to the USA. Johann was a farmer and citizen of the area. After the death of Christina Scherer in 1750, his second marriage was to Christina Schlee. This marriage however did not produce children, for Johann was already 66 years of age. Johann moved to Fautenbach where he lived out the rest of his life, passing away at the age of 72. The multitude of spelling variations in the early church records abound. The name will be spelled as Allgeier to stay consistant with the modern spelling today. Spelling variations of Johannes's name include Allgeÿer and Allgeyer, as well as all the children.
Note:   !Joahnnes Allgeier was the fifth child of Jacob Allgeier and Magdalena Strack. He is the com
