a. Note:   ed Katharina Bahr in Gamshurst. There must have been some knowledge of a families from Griesheim for his two sisters marred a man from Griesheim also. Wendelin and Katharina were farmer in Gamshurst and together they raised a single son, named Joseph who was born in 1850. Now, there is some interesting details as to why Wendelin left Gamshurst and passed away in America in 1885 at the age of 68. His wife remained in Gamshurst along with her son until their deaths years later. It is not known if Wendelin emigrated first to obtain funds for his family to come over to the USA or not.
