Note: e caring for children which must have been more than a full time job considering she had eleven of them. The memory that sticks out in my mind was of the huge lunches she would prepare. Two or three pies, potatoes, meat and on and on. Just think, I get grumpy about making sandwiches for school lunches. She made wonderful cookies. My favorite were soft white cookies with jam filling. She crocheted lovely quilts, and despite having so many grandchildren, always remembered us at Christmas with mittens or some little thing.
