Note: Information from the 1851 Census of Bristol Twp. Info received: Elizabeth's maiden name was Ballantyne. Emmigrated from Scotland early 1800. Married Joshua Sly, son of William and Sarah Sly of Smith Falls. Ont. Later moved to Kitley County. After William and Joshua died, Elizabeth moved to Bristol Co. near Shawville, Que. with her children. My link with this family is through Peter who married Mary Peebles - son Peter who married Ida Smiley - son Arthur who married Blanche Kirk (my father & mother) I have one sister and two brothers. I am the oldest of the family. I have extensive information on all of Elizabeth's children except for Jane. I understand that she was your ancestor. Guess we must be some kind of long lost cousins in this case. Our history is already on file with Family Tree Maker. I submitted it to them last year. Please send me the information on Jane Sly. He had recorded alot of information before he had passed away. I have been working on the Sly family since 1967. There is also some information in the Morman Family Files at their church.
