Note: 1851 Census of Bristol. I am assuming this is Charles Stewart's father. Charle's eldest two children are named Clementine and Archibald. Notes of Laurie Stewart confirm my belief that Archibald and Clementineare Charles Stewart's parents. She states " Archibald Stuart and ClementineGraham possessed a lot on concession road 11, lot 18 and 19. I have been totheir lot. It is a beautiful lot close to the village of Clayton, but it is not goodfarm land. I do not know when they left Lanark and moved to Bristol. I alsodo not know if Archibald's brothers and sisters moced to Bristol as well, butthere are still a lot of Stuarts and Stewarts in Clayton, and I sispect thatsome remained behind in Clayton because the name Archibald Stewart is still onthe mailbox of the origanal lot they were given." Laurie also states that Archibald and Clementine are "buried in Bristoland I have seen their graves." Notes of Dawan Murphy: "died 20 Jan 1887 aged 88 yrs - Norway BayHeadstone" Information confirmed by OGS Publication Number 78-2 "Norway Bay United Cemetery". States on gravestone that Archibald was a native of Scotland.
