Note: Southern Christian Advocate issue 5/20/1842: Rev. David Garrison, a superannuated Minister of the Georgia Conference, died at his home in Franklin county, Georgia on 7 April 1842 in the 66th year of his age. The subject of this memoir was born in Orange County, North Carolina on the 17th day of February 1777. Both his father and mother were members of the Methodist church. His parents having moved Greenville District, South Carolina when he was about 11 years old, about 1887. In January 1804 he moved to Franklin county, Georgia. Submitted by W. J. Parks, Franklin county, Georgia, May 2 1842. David was a minister like his father Jedediah. The Rev. David Garrison (1777-1842) was married by 1796 in South Carolina to Hannah Prickett. His eldest son was Levi Garrison, born 10 January 1798 in Greenville County, South Carolina, and David Garrison, listed in 1800 Census, South Carolina, page 31, Greenville County, with 2 males age 16 -26, 2 females 16-26, and 1 male under 10 and 1 female under 10. Appears that 2 brothers were living together with wives and children. But whether the children were both children of David Garrison or not we do not know.
