Note: The old James Garrison, who shows up in Franklin county, Georgia in land draws
in the lotteries, also came from Greenville county, South Carolina, reference 1790
census. He was said to have been a brother of Jedediah Garrison, and also from
Duplin county, North Carolina, and he was a Revolutionary War soldier. Some of
those earliest marriage records are probably children of his. I believe he moved to
Tennessee later on (1820 census) .
