  Funeral services for John William Reed, 53, of Sandstone who died at his home Saturday at 4 p.m. will be conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Sandstone Baptist Church. Death was attributed to a heart attack.
  The Rev. Billy Apostolon will have charge of the rites with burail in the King Cemetery.
  Reed was born at Sandstone, December 31, 1910 a son of Mrs Cynthia Ann Burdette Reed of Sandstone and the late Sam P. Reed.
  He was employed by the Chesapeake and Ohio Railway Company on the carpenter-bridge forgce and had 24 years of service. He was a member of the Laurel Creek Baptist Church.
  Survivors are his mother, two sons, Larry of Oak Hill and Jimmy of Hinton; two daughters, Mrs. Alfred Boatwright of Detroit, Mich., Mrs. Jerry McGraw of Detroit, Mich; two sisters, Mrs. Eva Wiley of Sandstone and Mrs. G. S. Richomond of Hinton and seven grandchildren.
  The body will remain at the E. M. Meadows Funeral Home until one hour prior to the rites when it will be taken to the church. Named as pallbearers are J. D. Cales, Scotty Garten, Jack Cooper, Ralph Gillian, Vadis Vandall and Leslie Cales.
