  Sandstone-Mrs. Emma Jane Bowles Brewer, 89, died Friday in Summers County Hospital after a long illness.
  Born Jan 25, 1896 at Satndstone, she was the daughter of the late WilliamA. and Sara Jane Withrow Wheeler.
  Mrs. Brewer lived most of her life in Summers County and was a member of the Nazarene Church in Paden City.
  She was preceded in death by her first husband, Alfred Bowles in 1962; a son, Eugene Bowles in 1981; a daughter Juanita Hickman in 1979.
  Mrs Brewer leaves 154 survivors. They include her husband, Clarence Brewer; a son, Conward Bowles of Girard, Ill; seven daughters, Nellie Wood of Hinton, Ina Richmond of Kernersville, N.C.; Clara Shaffer of Maryville, Tenn.; Zelma Blume of Fayetteville, Charlene Offenstein of Huntington Beach, Calif., Louise Adkins of Sandstone and Lorene Ayers of Gaines, Mich.; a step-daughter Dorothy Porter of Castleberry, Fla; 42 grandchildren; 88 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great-grandchildren.
  Services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlor in Hinton with the Revs. Johnny Atkinson and George Cook officating. Burial will follow in the Cooper Cemetery in Sandstone.
  Friends may call today from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
  Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
