a. Note:   Found Edmund and Lucy in the 1850 US Census Found in the 1880 US Census, in Summers County, Green Sulpher Springs District. At the time he was age 71 and was listed as a farmer. Also in the household was wife Lucy age 62. There were 4 children living in the house: Sarah age 37, William E. age 23, Josiah age 16 and Frances age 9. It is unclear if these are really all of his children for them to be the parents of Frances they would have been 68 and she would have been 57 when he was born.
