Note: tine and Jonas], 1 boy 10-15 [Meadow], 1 man 26-44[Valentine], 1 girl under 10 [Sallie or Judith], 2 girls from 10-15 [Mary and Rebecca] and one woman 26-44 [Wife Sarah]. Also listed are 6 slaves. Concerning the girls under 10. I list young dates of death for both Sally and Judith, 1829 and 1814 respectively. One of the girls is not in the house in 1810. I need to look into the information on their deaths to see if the dates provided to me are correct. Found in the 1820 Cumberland Co., VA Census: Lists household consisting of 2 boys 10-16 [Daniel and Valentine], 1 male 16-26 [Jonas or Meadow], 1 male 45+ [Valentine], 1 female 45+ [Wife Sarah]. Also listed are 5 slaves. It asppears that either Jonas or Meadow had moved from the household. They may either be doing an apprenticeship or working in another household. Both dates of marriage are after the 1820 census so they would not be a head of household elsewhere. Concerning the females. Judith passed in 1814 according to records and would not appear on this census. Mary and Rebecca were old enough to marry they would have been 21 and 27 respectively. Sally however was only 13. I don't list her death date until 1829. I do not know where she is. Appears in the 1830 Cumberland Co., VA. In this census he lists 1 male 20-30, 1 male 50-60 and a total of 7 slaves. Regardless of the discrepencies I am certain that this is the correct Valentine Boatright. Although there are several Valentine Boatrights after this one there are no contemporaries. His name is derived from his Mother's father.
