Shackleton, 51, of Knapp, died Friday, Feb. 18, 2000, at his home. He was born March 30, 1948, in Ladysmith to Perry and Genevieve (Bliven) Shackleton. He lived in holcombe until the age of 14, then moved with his family to Knapp. David married Karen Rundle on July 22, 1967, in Minneapolis, Minn. He worked as a building contractor in the Knapp area. David is survived by his wife, Karen Shackleton of Knapp; two sons and one daughter, David (Teresa) Shackleton, Sam Shackleton and Shayne Shackleton, all of Knapp; two grand children, Luke and Britnee Shackleton; six brothers and three sisters, Robert (Clarice) Shackleton of Knapp, Viola (Earl) Cook of Chippewa Falls, Dora (Bud) Carrell of Cornell, Jan (George) Wolf of Janesville, Ray (Millie) Shackleton of New Auburn, Don Shackleton of Hillsdale, Dick (Lois) Shackleton of Knapp, Stan (Marty) Shackleton of Rice Lake and Dan (Wendy) Shackleton of Dallas; many nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2000, at Menomonie Alliance Church, with Pastor Kelly Lynnes officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery in the Town of Stanton, Dunn County. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 21, at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie and at the church an hour prior to the services on Tuesday.
