Note: Russell County, State of Kentucky, (To Wit) Will of Real & personal property. November 14, 1833. A Feleden Coffey of the County & State aforesaid being in the fear of God & of sound mind but aged & under the afflicting hand of Almighty God taking in consideration the certaintly of death & the uncertainty of life do hereby make my last will & testament in the following form, First after my decease that all my just debts & Funeral expenses be paid together with whatever interest I have promised to any person to be paid out of my estate. My two Negroes, Mandy Green & Rachel be sold to pay my said debts after which I wish the ballance of my property, real & personal there may be, to be kept together for the use & benefit of my children, herein named, just so long as my children think proper to keep house & live together & when my children think proper to break up housekeeping & to separate then I desire my Executor, hereinafter named, Elizabeth, Sealy, Feelden, Louis, Aley & the children (note: there were no commas between the childrens names) of my son Thomas H. Coffey as one of my equal Heirs. I do hereby appoint my beloved brother & friend Hays Coffey as my Executor of this. Signed, sealed & acknowledged in the presence of this 14 November 1833, Feelden Coffey (seal) Joseph M. McMillan Jonathan Williams Adam Kernes Jr. On Monday, 13 January 1834, the last Will & Testament of Feelden Coffey, decd. was produced in open Court & proven by the oaths of Joseph M. McMillen, Adam Kernes Jr. & Jonathan Williams, subscribing witnesses thereto whereupon the motion of Hays Coffey, Executor therein named, having taken the oaths required & acknowledged Bond in the Penal Sum of $3000.00 with William Payne & Willis Coffey as his securities, conditioned as the law directs. William S. Patterson, C.R. An Inventory & Appriasal of the estate of Feelden Coffey, decd. made 17 Jan. 1834 We the undersigned appraisors, appointed by the Russell Co.
