Note: Taxed in 1781 in Cecil Township, Washington Co., PA. Received a land grant of 259 acres on Cross Creek on 8 March 1785. Ohio County is in what is now West Virginia. He and his wife Ruhama were captured by Indians in June 1789 and he was killed shortly thereafter near Gnadenhutten in Tuscareawas County, Ohio, where he had participated in the slaying of Christian Indians. Ruhama remained a captive for nine months.
