  Missing from 1840 census HH
  Maria and Mathilda Butterfield were the youngest daughters of John and Abigail (Morse) Butterfield. Their ages in the 1800 and 1810 censuses for Washington County, New York, suggest that they were born between 1794 and 1800., As Maria's birthdate has been established as about Nov 1800, it is likely that Mathilda was the older of the two sisters.
