  Clara Butterfield Goodrich helped to preserve the facts of her Butterfield ancestry for future generations by copying birth/marriage/death dates from her parents' family Bible into her own family Bible after her marriage. She also preserved a multi-generational genealogical chart for the Butterfields that had been drawn by her mother, Nancy Bemis Butterfield, in the late 1890's.
