Newspaper article from Bloomington paper: AGED WIDOW PASSES AWAY Mrs. Eliza Jerrells Dies This Morning; Funeral Saturday Mrs. Eliza C. Jerrells, 83 years old widow of John Jerrells, died a 5 o'clock this morning of carcinoma at the home of her son, Delbert Cazee, nine miles southeast of Bloomington. She had been ill for the past three years and was bedfast during the last five weeks of her life. The daughter of Wilson and Julia Clark. Mrs. Jerrells was a native of Monroe County. Her husband who was a Monroe county farmer, died five years ago. She was a member of the Pentecostal Church. Surviving are five children, Mrs. Otto Lucas of Bloomington, William Alonzo Cazee of Rural Route Four, Thomas L. Cazee of Rural Route Three, George E. Cazee of Indianapolis and Archie Delbert Cazee at whose home Mrs. Jerrells died. Two sisters, Mrs. Isaac Dover of Bloomington and Mrs. Oscar Lawson, also of Bloomington, survive as do twenty-six grandchildren and twenty-seven greatgrandchildren. Funeral rites will be held at 2 pm. Saturday at the Mt. Ebal church. The Rev. John Hays will conduct the survices and burial will be in the Mt. Ebal cemetary. Pallbearers will be Handford Cazee, Harold Lucas, Kelson Bowers, Callie Vaught, Harrison Vaught, and William Chambers. Flower bearers will be Orpha Lucas, Mary Helen, and Catherine Cazee. Until the hour of the funeral, the body will remain at the home of the son Delbert, southeast of the city.
