Note: Henry died in the hospital after being struck by a car. He died on the 30th of Aug. in 1935. He had been hit by the car one week before his death. He was 50 years old. He died at 9:45am, in Bloomington Hospital. The auto was driven by William Becker, Henry was walking across State Road 37, about 13 miles North of Bloomington. Death resulted from a skull fracture and injuries to the brain. Henry also suffered three broken ribs on the left side. He had been unconscious practically all of the time since the accident. He was rushed to the hopital immediatlly in an ambulance, but did not show any signs of rallying until two days ago, when he was able to take some nourishment. Yesterday morning he lapsed into a state of coma. And remained in that condition until his death. Henry was crossing the road in front of the Manual Jackson residence, where he stayed. To give a package to the driver of a south bound bus, when he was struck. He had flagged the bus to a stop, and had started across the road as Becker who with his wife was driving to Martinsville, aproached from the South. The victim had been employed as a farm laborer by Mr. Jackson. He is survived by 2 sisters, Mrs. Nancy Rayl, Mrs. Zene Lewis, one brother Marshall Hacker.
