Oscar came back home after World War I and went to Arkansas to work for someone. He disappeared while in Arkansas. His father went to Arkansas to look for him. He found all of his belongings, but no Oscar. He left his suitcase and discharge papers thinking Oscar would be back for them. Oscar never returned. The family story is that his employer drowned his employees when they wanted to be paid.
