Note: After his marriage, Frank bought a farm near Boonville, Yadkin Co.,and moved there. He spent the rest of his life farming. Frank Burton and his wife Dovie were fine people. They did not believe in sending the elderly realitives to the rest home, so when Mrs. Burton's father and mother became disabled, they took them into their home and took care of them. In a few months, his father, David Frank ,died, and his wife was left alone; so, Frank,Jr. took her over to his house so that she could be cared for properly. Now Frank and Dovie Stinson Durton had three people living with them, all over 80 years old, and all of whom they kept and cared for as long as they lived. John Frank Burton had one hobby, and that was bird hunting. Sometimes in the in the fall, he would take his dogs and go to Marshaltown, Iowa, to visit his brother,Fred, and to hunt pheasants.
