Note: Text: On 16 September 1920, Ida remarried. She was 51 years old, and her groom, age 55, was W. H. North of Oakland, Alameda County, California. Recently, a letter was found from Ida to Effie Turner, her niece by marriage. It was dated 11 February 1948 and written from Glendale, California. She commented in the letter that she and "sister" Rose were the only ones of the family still living (of her generation), and that they were so close that, often, letters to each other crossed in the mail containing almost the same thoughts.
