Note: According to an article in a local newspaper on Aunt Lois's 100th birthday she started working in textile plants when she was 8 years old. She went to work in a cotton mill in Wilmington, NC out of necessity. She lived the last 70 years of her life in Hamlet, NC. She was quoted as saying, "The Lord has been mighty good to me, and I've never changed. I've been the same old thing all this time." She also stated that the state of the world would be different if there were more Christians and believed all persons need to be prepared to go to Heaven. Lois died at the age of 101.
