  Hi Linda,
I am a decendant of Nathan Batten also, through his son Hardy Batten, Sr. who m. Peacy Starling, d/o Adam Starling. You said that Daniel Batten m. Sarah Best. I know that Mary Best left a legacy to her grandson, Daniel Batten, in her Will dated 8 Jan. 1725 in Isle of Wt. Co., VA. The Probate date of the Will is unknown but estimated to be sometime in 1725. The Will, however, does not mention who is grandson Daniel's mother/father. How did you find out his mother's name was Sarah? Would love to hear from you about this. Please e-mail me on Malbardownunder@@aol.com. Barbara
