Note:   Grissinger, Lillie Mae Posted by: S. <http://www.pa-roots.org/data/profile.php?425,20> (IP Logged) Date: September 10, 2001 09:54PM Mrs. Lillie Mae Grissinger, wife of Ira Grissinger, died at her home, near Cassville, Wednesday afternoon, March 12, 1941 at 4 o'clock. She was born in Clay township on May 1, 1903, the daughter of William and Lillie Jane (Chilcote) Rupert. At the time of death she was aged 37 years, ten months and eleven days. Mrs. Grissinger was a faithful and devoted member of the Otterbein United Brethren church and was active in community and church affairs. She was a loving wife and mother and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Surviving are her husband and the following children: Frances, Ellen, Blanche, Rella, Irvin, Harold, Erma and Beatrice, all at home. An infant son will be buried with his mother. Also surviving are her father, William Rupert, of Cassville; one brother, Delbert Rupert, of Alexandria; and three sisters: Laura, wife of Roy Black, of Mount Union; Martha, wife of John R. Allen, of Lewistown, and Grace, wife of Ernest Holland, of Huntingdon. A short prayer service will be held at the Grissinger home on Sunday afternoon, March 16, at 12:45 o'clock followed by further services at the Cherry Grove Church of God at 2 o'clock, in charge of the Rev. L.C. McHenry, of Cocolamus, assisted by the Rev. J.S. Eminhizer, of Three Springs. Interment will be made in the nearby cemetery, directed by McClain's funeral service.
