There is said to be 5 different indictments against him for stealing, all of which were committed in Dublin Township. Remarks: Deserted 9-15-64 at Berryville, Va. 28 April 1866: State of Pennsylvania, Huntington County, S.S.: On the twenty eighth day of April A.D. 1866 before me a Justice of the Peace in and for said county and State personally appeared Jefferson Mort and Calvin Robinson of Huntingdon County & state aforesaid respectably and creditable witness and after being duly sworn doth report and say that they were well & intimately acquainted with Mrs. Rebecca Mort widow of Levi Mort, solider deceased, late of Co., C. 112 Regt. Pennsylvania Volunteers and that they were present at the wedding of Levi Mort & Mrs. Rebecca Mort, who were married by Thomas W. Neely Esq. on the thirteenth day of September A.D. 1849 at the home of his father Jacob Mort in said County. That we reside as above stated and are not interested in Mrs. Rebecca Morts claim for a pension or concerned in its prosecution. s/Jefferson [his X mark], Calvin [his x mark] Robinson. Attest: W. M.
