Continued: Mrs. Bertha Jane Price of 1098 West Fifth Street, Lewistown, died Saturday, March 12, 1960, at 11:15 p.m. in the Lewistown Hospital. She had been a patient in the hospital for three weeks prior to her death. She was born February 27, 1876, in Shade Gap, a daughter of James K. and Margaret (Ferenberg) Snyder. She was married to William C. Price of Shade Gap, who preceded her in death on October 30, 1950. Surviving are the following children: Mrs. Lester (Hazel) Norris, Mrs. Jack (Edna) Britt, and Carl Price, all of Lewistown, Clair Price of Orbisonia, Ira Price of Mechanicsburg, and Ned Price and Guy Price, both of Shade Gap. There are 20 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. Also surviving are one sister, Mrs. Blanche Shugarts of Mifflintown and two brothers, Harvey Snyder of Mount Union and Norman Snyder of Shade Gap. She was a member of the Shade Gap Methodist church. She was a former resident of Shade Gap, but had been residing with her daughter, Mrs. Jack Britt, at Lewistown for the past ten years. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 15, at 2 p.m. from the Ott funeral home in Orbisonia. The Rev. Robert Sunderland, pastor of the Shade Gap Methodist charge, will officiate. Interment will be made in the Pleasant Hills Cemetery.
