Price, highly-respected Mount Union resident, passed away Sunday, September 18, 1955, at 9 p.m. in the Lewistown Hospital. He became ill Saturday morning and was rushed to the hospital, where he died last night.Price had resided at 42 East Milford Street in Mount Union. The deceased was born March 20, 1893, in Shade Gap, a son of William A. and Margaret (Jones) Price.He was united in marriage to Edna R. Locke of Shade Gap in 1916. She preceded him in death.Price was a member of the First Methodist Church in Mount Union, the Men’s Bible Class of the Sunday School and the Mount Union IOOF Lodge. He moved to Mount Union after his marriage and for a time was employed at the powder plant there. Later he was a member of the Mount Union police force, but for the past nineteen years had been employed by the Harbison-Walker Refractories Company.These children survive: Mrs. Harold (Helen Elizabeth) Feagley and Mrs. Preston (Marjorie) Lamberson of Mount Union and Misses Jean and Evelyn Price, at home. Five grandchildren and one brother, the Rev. Arthur A. Price of Robertsdale, also survive. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 21, at 3:30 p.m. in the Clark funeral home in Mount Union. His pastor, the Rev. W. Murray Young, will have charge of teh services and burial will be made in the IOOF Cemetery at Mount Union.
