Note: 01 6th Ave., Altoona, died Saturday, Ja n. 3, 1981, in the Altoona Hospital, following an extended illness. She was born June 26, 1892, in Shade Gap, the daughter of James and Margar et (Eichel) Snyder, and married Paul L. Shugarts, who died in 1948. Surviving are four children, Mrs. Enda Smith of Mount Union, Mrs. Pauli ne Ernest of Altoona, Mrs. Betty Wilson of York, and Lawrence J. of Miffli n; 17 grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Shugarts was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church of Mifflin.
