a. Note:   Obituary - Mrs. Goldie Franz Special Services: Funeral services were held on Wednesday May 28, 2008 at the Hanlin Funeral Home. The burial followed at the Millington Twp. Cemetery. Pastor Dave Wermuth delivered the funeral message, and the prayers of committal. You're welcome to express condolences or share memories online by clicking on view/send. Hanlin Funeral Home assisted the Franz family with the arrangements. Goldie passesd away early Thursday morning May 22, 2008 at the Tendercare Nursing Home in Frankenmuth MI., Goldie was 73. Goldie McClain was born in the small town of Pine Run MI on January 17, 1935, and was the daughter of Elsworth & Norma (Taylor) McClain. On October 25, 1952 Goldie married George Franz, and together Goldie & George celebrated 41 years of marriage before George passed away in 1993. Goldie worked for a while as a Nurses Aid for area nursing homes, and she also worked at various resturants as a waitress for many years. Goldie leaves five sons; George, Leo, David, Gary, and Jerry. She also leaves several grandchildren,and great grandchildren, and two brothers Bill & Elsworth McClain, and a sister Norma Jean.
