a. Note:   Obituary - Elmer S. Ketchum, 69, of Farwell died Wednesday, Feb. 19, 1986 at Midland Hospital Center. Services are scheduled for 3 p.m. Saturday at the Farwell Chapel of the Coker Funeral Home with Dee Beavers officiating. Burial will be at Surrey Township Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 6 p.m. Thursday, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, and until time of services Saturday. Mr. Ketchum was born Sept. 9, 1916 in Lake Odessa to James and Adell (Violet) Ketchum. He married Winnie Chappell Dixon on Feb. 10, 1944 in Ft. Wayne, Ind. He is survived by his wife, Winnie; three sons, Vern Dixon of Farwell, Warren Dixon of Sanford and Elmer Jrof of Kalkaska; three daughters, Dorothy Manley and Nancy Thrush, both of Farwell, and Ila Kalka of Plainwell; two sisters, Betty Casillas of Pharr, Texas, and Delilah Bowen of Hastings; 14 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
