a. Note:   Obituary - Claude Girard was welcomed home by our Lord and his loving wife of 67 years, Aleta, on February 19, 2007. Claude was born in Spaulding Township on March 9, 1915 and attended Mahar School. He married Aleta Sawatzki on June 29, 1938. Claude, along with Aleta, was a charter member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. He was employed at Saginaw Foundries for 32 years and retired from the Saginaw Road Commission after ten years of service. He served as Spaulding Township Constable for 27 years and also maintained the Spaulding Township Park for ten years. Claude is survived by son Jim (Lori Lambert), two granddaughters Cheryl (Mike Crane), Nancy (Mike Jones) and five great-grandchildren, Joshua, Zachary and Rebekah (Crane), and Barrett and Nolan (Jones). Friends may call at Case Funeral Home, 5700 Dixie Highway in Bridgeport on Friday, February 23rd from 3 PM - 8PM. A Prayer Service will be held at 7:00PM. Visitation will also be at St. Anthony Church, 3680 S. Washington, in Saginaw prior to the funeral mass at 10AM. on Saturday, February 24th.
