a. Note:   Jacob was the first Watts to settle in what is now Clay County,Alabama, and for a number of years was the only white man in the area. He probably moved his family to Clay County due to a gold rush in the area. He received his first land grant in 1838.
 He first moved with his family to Troup County,Georgia, and by 1830 had settled into what is now Clay County.
 His oldest son, Isaac, remained in Georgia with his own family. There are forty-four grave sites in the cemetery. Only three of them have
 engraved markers.
 The names listed above were from family members and neighbors in the
 community.
 Jacob Watts acquired the land on January 4,1839. The land was in Talladega
 County,Al until 1866.
