Note: Elsie Mae & M.D.'s youngest daughter, Laura Yvonne, married Merrel C. Bell Jr....more information can be found on her and her family in another section of this tree.... following is poem written by Elsie Mae: GRANDMA'S HOUSE When I was three, 'til I was seven, I lived just down the road from Heaven, Grandma's House. You might not think that it was much, an old plank house, a yard and such, the wooden gate had a hinge that squeaked, the mansion fair, a roof that leaked, Grandma's House. But there was an Angel living there, an Angel with long, soft, graying hair, whose cookie jar was always handy, just like the other big jars of candy, Grandma's House. No matter how bad I had been, what kind of mischief I'd been akin, I always found a special loving face, along with a warm and strong embrace, Grandma's House. Oh yes, she spoiled me I know, but, oh, how I enjoyed it so, you see I had my own small bit of Heaven, when I was three, 'til I was seven, Grandma's House.
