Note: BURIAL: Per death certificate: BURIAL: Lavan L. Jackson was buried on 31 Dec 1975 at the White Plains Friends Church, White Plains, NC (Surry Co). Lavan died of "cardiac arrest" on 29 Dec 1975 at 2:38 p.m. in Northern Hospital of Surry Co., Mt. Airy, NC. BURIAL: Moody Funeral Home, Mt. Airy, NC was in charge of the funeral services. BIOGRAPHY: Mrs. Bertha Jackson Foster writes the following in the Surry Co. Heritage Book, Vol 2: BIOGRAPHY: "My father, Joe Bill jackson, spoke of his cousin, Javan, son of Uncle Job. I went with my mother and father to Javan's house in White Plains one summer. I was only about 10 or 12 years old. I remember they had their water well bricked up and it was enclosed in a porch or something so they didn't have to go outside to get water."
