Note: Information from Ernestine Keller. Given a tract of land on Stone creek by his father in 1782. Henry Koger received land in Henry County, Virginia from his father, Hans Jacob Koger. Before Hans Jacob died, he gave the rest of his remaining land, most of it located in Henry County, Virginia to Henry. Henry Koger and his second wife, Mary King, built a large home in Henry County and stayed there until Henry's death. A cemetery is located on this property. IN THE NAME OF GOD, AMEN: I, Henry Koger, Senior of the County of Patrick, State of Virginia, of perfect mind and memory, thanks being give unto GOD, and calling into mind the mortality of my body and knowing that it is appointed for all men once to die, do make and ordain, this my last will and testament; that is to say and principally and first of all, I give and recommend my soul unto GOD, that gave it, and my body I recommend to the earth, to be buried in decent Christian burial, at the discreation hereafter named by my executor and nothing, but at the general resurrection, I shall receive the same again, by the power of Almight GOD: As touching such worldy estate, where with it has pleased GOD to bless in in this life. I give, demise and dispose of the same in the following manner and form: In testimony wherof, I have hereunto, set my hand and affixed my seal, this 27th day of January, One Thousand and Eight Hundred and Sixteen.
