Notes
a. Note:   6-25-99 Telephone interview with Mrs. Isabelle Glenn Keener, who is mygreatAunt, her brother being my grandfather. According to AuntIsabelle herfather, John Glenn left his family about 1924 to find workelsewhere. He never returned. Her mother, Eva Pauline Blair Glenn tookthechildren and returned to her home town of Toledo, Ohio. Paulinewaspregnant with her third child and they stayed with her sisterRosa.Shortly before or after the birth of Joseph, Isabelle and Larryweresent back to Alabama to live with Charlie and Ella (Culp)Glenn.Joseph was given up for adoption in Toledo, Lucas County, Ohioin 1924or 1925. Eventually Larry and Isabelle would be adopted bytheirpaternal Uncle and Aunt ensuring that they would not be seperatedfromthe family or each other. I found Pauline in the 1930 census inOhioin an institution for the feeble minded. Most likely she wassimplydestitute and hadno where else to go. Sometime later Paulinewasreunited with her children, who were grown with children of theirown.I have photo's of her with my granddad and my mother who wasaboutfive or six years old.I know nothing else except that she mayhavemarried a man named Albert White and she died circa 1973 inMichigan. July 10 , 1999 Spoke to Aunt Isabelle again . She seems to think that John andPaulinewere married in Ohio . She is leaving the 26 th to go toWashingtonfora week .
