Shannon, 29; both of Coronado) According to her death certificate, Estie suffered an accident at her home at 366 D Avenue, and was found 27 April 1975 *** Death Notice (San Diego Union, 04 May 1975, p. 27): "Mrs. Carroll Jones Memorial services for Mrs. Esteline S. Jones, 76, wife of Read Adm. Carroll H. [sic] Jones, USN, ret., of 366 D Ave., Coronado will be at 10 a.m. tomorrow in Coronado Mortuary. Cremation is planned. Mrs. Jones, a native of Montana, died Friday in a hospital. A county resident for 46 years, Mrs. Jones was a member of the Coronado Historical Society and the Coronado Residential Association. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Lt. Cmdr. Carroll F. [sic] Jones, USN, ret., of San Diego; a daughter, two sisters and five grandchildren. The family suggests contributions to a favorite charity."
