Note:   Obituary, Times-Picayune: MACINTOSH Mary Martha Macintosh, born on July 28, 1930, passed away Wednesday, February 6, 2008, at the age of 77. Martha was preceded in death by her parents: Redmond and Frieda Macintosh; her sisters: Mary Anna and Mary Louise; and her beloved grandson, Bryan Christopher Regan, a passing which was particularly painful for her. A true New Orleanian who loved this city and appreciated all it has to offer, Martha was the proud mother of Martin Edward Regan, Jr., Michael Patrick Regan, and John McKenzie Regan who all honor her for their impeccable upbringing of strong values and principles which she provided. She is missed by her grandchildren, Amy, Gavin, Mickey, Michael, Matthew, Melissa, Tara, Erin, and her three little great grandsons Tyler, Samuel and Owen. As so many others in her Lakeview community, Martha lost everything to the waters of Hurricane Katrina. But with her resilience and indomitable spirit, Martha relocated to Rockwall, Texas where she made a life for herself with her son John and his family and her faithful pooch, Henry. She was and avid and talented quilter, who enjoyed making and giving many beautiful quilts. Funeral Services for Martha will be Sunday, February 10, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at GARDEN OF MEMORIES FUNERAL HOME AND CEMETERY. Visitation will be on Sunday from 9:00 a.m. till time of services. For now, her family, many friends in New Orleans and in Rockwall bid her farewell. Please visit the online guestbook at www.mem.com Published in The Times-Picayune on 2/9/2008.
