Notes
a. Note:   According to both the petition of Alice Maud Tanner and Jane Josephine Tanner for the delayed recording of their births, their mother had 7 children, 4 of whom were still alive in 1946. 3 that were definitely still alive based on these petitions were Alice, Josephine and Elizabeth. Of the others, only James and Margaret are found in any census after 1910. Thus, it's likely that Joseph and Nancy were deceased. That would mean it either Margaret or James was also deceased by 1946.
