a. Note:   Brody is today in the Ukraine. Anna was shown living with her daughter (Sarah Zuckerman) and son-in-law at Fredriksberg 6a in Bergen, Norway in at least one census. Note that her death certificate completed by her son Hermann says she was born September 20, 1832. At the time of her death, she was living at Grosz Neumarkt 58. Her gravestone reads: “Here is buried the dear and important woman, the sage Mrs. Hannah, wife of Rabbi Haim Shalom Herschel, daughter of Rabbi Abraham Koifman Born in Brodi January 19, 1832 Died (the date is illegible)” Translation by Ori Nir.
