Note: In the 1875 census, it says he was born in Brody and lists his name as Hendrik. Herman was a photographer and it's believed that he had a studio in Hamburg named for his daughter, Clara Lilli. Prior to WWII he lived in Hamburg, Germany. During the war he was deported with Transport VI/2 from Hamburg to Terezin on July 19/20, 1942. Hermann perished in 1943 in Terezin, Theresienstadt, Czechoslovakia. This information is based on (1) a List of Theresienstadt camp inmates found in the Terezinska Pametni Kniha/Theresienstaedter Gedenkbuch, Terezinska Iniciativa, vol. I-II Melantrich, Praha 1995, vol.
