Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late James J. and Emilie (Myshrall) Tanner. He is survived by a daughter, Laraine Scott, Fredericton; two sons, Joseph, Dartmouth, Fred, Prospect Bay; a sister, Kathleen, Halifax, 18 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Mildred, an infant son, William. The body is in Snow?s Funeral Home, Halifax, visiting 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today. Funeral will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, St. Stephen?s Roman Catholic Church. Burial in Oakridge Memorial Gardens, Lower Sackville. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Camp Hill Hospital.
