Note:   The death occurred last night at the Victoria General Hospital of Mrs. Emily Tanner at the age of 81 years. She was the widow of James J. Tanner, who died in 1942. A devout member of St. Thomas Aquinas Church, she is survived by five sons, William H., Toronto; John, Edward, Ernest and Fred, all of Halifax; four daughters, Anne (Mrs. William A. Naugler), Halifax; Helena (Mrs. Carl Liljeros), California; Kathleen (Mrs. Ralph Barrett) and Christine (Mrs. William Stevenson), both of Halifax; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; five sisters, Mary, Margaret, Ida, Exie and Myrtle, and three brothers, William, Jack and Fred Myshrall, all in New Brunswick. The remains are resting at the home of her son Ernest, 7 Linden Street. The funeral will take place in time for Mass at 9 a.m. Friday in St. Thomas Aquinas Church. Interment will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery [reel 7456, pg. 6, 01/23/57]
