Note:   SHAD BAY ? Eric Herbert Collier, Sr., 82, of Shad Bay, died Friday in Dartmouth General Hospital. Born in Shad Bay, he was a son of the late John and Agnes (Redmond) Collier. He was a member of St. Joseph?s Roman Catholic Church. He was a fisherman most of his life and also operated Eric?s Grocery. He was survived by a daughter, Jean (Mrs. Douglas Grant), Shad Bay; two sons, Eric Jr., and George, both of Shad Bay; 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Hallie Yeadon in 1950 and several brothers, Robert, James, Jeffrey and William, a sister, Marion. The body is at R.D. Lindsay Funeral Home, 6552 Bayers Road, Halifax. Funeral mass is St. Joseph?s Roman Catholic Church, Shad Bay, Father Gilbert Roxburgh officiating. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery [Reel 7793 -- obit on Jan 10 / 81 -- pg 54]
