Note:   JOHN HAROLD COLLIER, 53, of Shad Bay, died at his home on Sunday. Born in Shad Bay, he was a son of the late James and Emma (Yeadon) Collier. He is survived by his wife, the former Charlotte Northcott; two sons, John, Oromocto, N.B.; Kenneth, Armdale; four daughters, Christine (Mrs. Roy Slaunwhite), Terence Bay; Judy (Mrs. Harold Brown), Shad Bay; Thelma (Mrs. James Purcell), Halifax; and Pamela at home; seven sisters, Irene (Mrs. Carl Gregoire), Irma (Mrs. Ralph Kemp); Mrs. Mabel Power; Beverley (Mrs. William Murphy), all of Shad Bay; Olive (Mrs. Ivan Cripps), Dartmouth; Maxine (Mrs. Laurie Stewart), St. John?s, Nfld; Ruby (Mrs. Frank Mahar), Brooklyn, and 11 grandchildren. The body is at the J. Albert Walker Funeral Home, Halifax. Funeral service will be held Wednesday at 9 a.m. in St. Joseph?s Church, Shad Bay, with Rev. Ernest Sweeney officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery [Reel 7624 -- obit Mar 8 / 71 -- pg. 38]
