Note:   HOLLAND, Cecil George - 78, Shad Bay, passed away at home July 2, 2004. Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late George and Veronica (Hartry) Holland, and was the beloved husband and friend of his wife of 40 years, Janet (McNutt) Holland. He is also survived by sons, George (Linda), Halifax; Terry (Sue), Sackville; Randy (Jennifer), Shad Bay; daughters, Betty Ann (Ron), Ontario; Christine, Halifax; Cynthia, at home; Wendy (Troy), Sackville; Shelley (Peter), Virginia; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren with granddaughter, Nicole, at home; brothers, Jerry (Helen), Halifax; Christopher (Laura), Sackville; Gerard, Ontario; sister, Bettie (Joe) Blum, Shad Bay; numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by brothers, Bernard (Pauline), Paul (Geraldine), and sister, Teresa (Jimmy) Collier. Cecil was retired from Metro Transit where he worked for many years. Visitation will be 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today in J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 2666 Windsor St., Halifax. Funeral service will be held in St. Timothy's Anglican Church, Hatchet Lake at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 6, Rev. Lisa Vaughn officiating. Family flowers only.
