Note: Mrs. Fred Tanner Jr., 44, of Brennan Road, Shad Bay, Halifax County, died Saturday in the Halifax Infirmary. Born in Halifax, she was the former V. Marie Fahie, a daughter of the late Maurice and Vera (Crooks) Fahie. Surviving besides her husband are two daughters, Paula and Toni; four sons, Fred, Stephen, Timothy and Joseph, all of Shad Bay; two brothers, M. Raymond and Fraser, both of Halifax. The body is in the J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 2666 Windsor Street, Halifax. Funeral service will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m., in St. Joseph's Church, Shad Bay. Burial will be in the parish cemetery, Shad Bay. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society of the Nova Scotia Ostomy Association [obit on March 8, on p.40, on reel 7684]
