Note: NASH, John L. - 91, Halifax, passed away peacefully Monday, January 27, 2003, in Northwood Care Centre. Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late Frederick and Catherine Nash. He spent his early years in the grocery business, before entering the Aviation Industry with Fairey Aviation, where he worked until his health forced him to retire to his summer home in Chester Grant, where he enjoyed the lake and gardening. Surviving are his wife of 70 years, Margaret May (Spidell); son, John W. (Shirley); daughters, Peggy Lewis (Wes), Delores Newell (Daniel), Patricia Cedeno (Michael); 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; brothers, Ned, Michael, Patrick; sisters, Marie, Christine. Visiting will be 7-9 p.m. today and 2-4 p.m. Thursday in Cruikshank's Funeral Home, 2032 Robie St., Halifax. Cremation to follow. Funeral mass will be held 10 a.m. Friday in St. Stephen's Church, Father Gilbert Bertrand OMI officiating. Burial in Holy Cross Cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations may be made to a charity of choice.
