Note: NASH, Michael Patrick, CD, Retired CPO2 RCN - Halifax, formerly of Chester, born October 2, 1920, passed away peacefully August 24, 2005, surrounded by his loving family and beloved wife of 60 years, Irene Nash (Brown). He is survived by his beloved sons, Michael (Margaret), Lower Sackville; Gregory (Ethel), London, Ont.; Gerald (Sharon), Hammonds Plains; beloved grandchildren, Kimberley Killens (Mark), Grand Bend, Ont.; Marcia Connolly (Chris), Trenton, Ont.; Scott MacDonald (Monique), London, Ont.; Virginia King (Mike), Beaver Bank; Leanne MacDonald (Jason Sangster), Lower Sackville; Melissa Nash (Chris Eaton), Waterloo, Ont.; Amy Nash, Halifax; beloved great-grandchildren, Jenna King, Autumn Eaton, Dion and Everett Killens; beloved brother, Edmond (Alice), Halifax; beloved sister, Christine Nehiley (Kenneth), Halifax, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by beloved parents, Fredrick and Catherine (Hartry) Nash (Halifax); beloved brothers and sisters, Anastasia Bianco, Shirley Fry, Marie Hull, Fredrick Nash, John Nash, and Patrick Nash; daughter-in-law, Dawne Nash. Michael had a full naval career, serving in the Second World War, Korean War and Battle of the Atlantic. Over his 30 years, he served proudly aboard HMCS Stadacona, HMCS Andre Dupree, HMCS Hochelaga, HMCS Rimouski, HMCS Cornwallis, HMCS Blairmore, HMCS Niobe, HMCS Peregrine, HMCS Scotian, HMCS Naden, HMCS Haida, HMCS Huron, HMCS Quebec, HMCS Iroquois, HMCS Outremont, HMCS Saguenay, HMCS Annapolis and Canmarcom. Funeral mass to be held Tuesday, August 30, 10 a.m. in St. Stephen's Roman Catholic Church, 6032 Normandy Dr., Halifax, Rev. Gilbert Bertrand, OMI officiating. Reception to follow in the church hall. Burial to be at a later date. Family flowers only. Donations may be made to The Children's Wish Foundation of Canada. Arrangements are entrusted to Davis Funeral Home, Chester. As long as we're together the rest will fall in place. Loved till time is forever.
