Note: Annie had gone to school at Mount Forest in Ontario and came to Manitoba with her parents. She was a life member of the Roland Women's Missionary Society and took an active part in the community activities. When Stan and Annie retired from the farm, Annie became a member of the Carman United Church Unit. Obituary published in the Dufferin Leader Funeral service was held in Carman United Church Wednesday for Margaret Annie Wilton, 76, who died at Carman Memorial Hospital on Monday, June 25, 1962. Service was conducted by Rev. A.J. Stephens, with interment in the family plot at Fairview cementary, Roland. Born at Cedarville, Ontario jn 1885, Mrs. Wilton moved to the Roland district with her parents when she was 15 years old. She was the eldest daughter in the family of five sons and three daughters of the lateMr. and Mrs. William Patterson. She was married to Stanley Wilton in 1907 and the couple took up residence north of Roland, where they resided for 41 years until their retirement to Carman in 1948. Active in community affairs, Mrs. Wilton was a lmember of the W.A. and a life member of the W.M.S. She is survived by her husband, two sons, Albert of Roland, and Graham of Edmonton; one sister, Mrs. Bertha Edwards, of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and seven grandchildren. She was predeceased by one son, Earl, and five brothers, Fred, Roy, Stan, Walter, and Albert, and one sister,Mrs. Laura Coates. Honorary pallbearers wer N. Langtry, Noble Shaw, and Jas. Ainsley, ofCarman, Harry Hurton of Pomeroy, M. Young of Winnipeg, and Ed. Anderson of Roland. Pallbearers included Walter McDOnald, Fred Abercrombie, Ernest Pritchard, Mervyn Anderson, Earl Hodgson, and Edgar VanWyck, all of Roland.
